French Trip for Hanford Seniors
French Trip to the Château de la Baudonnière – October 2025
At the end of September, LVI and UVIth girls set off on an unforgettable French trip to the Château de la Baudonnière, in Normandy, France. Whilst away they were completely immersed in the French language, embracing every opportunity to practise their speaking skills in real-life situations. The group visited historical sites such as the British Memorial in Ver-sur-Mer and 360° Circular Cinema in Arromanche which deepened the deepened the girls’ understanding of the impact of World War II and complemented their exploration of the historical heritage of the region.
These sites provided the girls with a truly reflective and educational experience that left a lasting impression on everyone.
From exciting on-site activities to team challenges, the girls displayed remarkable camaraderie, creativity, and teamwork throughout the week. Their enthusiasm and impeccable behaviour left a lasting impression on the château staff, who praised their competitive spirit and positive attitude. It was a trip filled with laughter, learning, and linguistic growth – a true credit to our school and a glimpse of the talented linguists of the future. Bravo to Madame Atkinson and Mrs Phillips for a truly fantastic trip.
