Extra Curricular

Extra curricular activities help girls to learn about themselves and develop their skills and knowledge in a variety of different and new environments.

We were delighted to be in the Top 3 Prep Schools for Best Extra Curricular, as awarded by The Week Magazine’s Independent Schools Guide 2025.

Activities

During the school week and at weekends, we offer a wide range of activities, some of which are included in the school fees and some as paid extras. Wednesday activities take place between 4:00 and 5:30pm and on Saturday mornings between 11:50 and 1:00pm.

Each term there are around 60 different activities on offer, recent examples include:

Thanks to our size, we are able to offer an Extra Curricular programme that flexes to meet the needs, passions and personalities of every individual pupil.

Innovative ideas are quickly adapted to become popular new activities, providing the girls with fresh challenges and encouraging them to have an experimental approach to learning and an excellent ‘have a go’ attitude!

Sitting proudly alongside our Extra Curricular activies offer is the Hanford Hundred. This new skills-based enrichment programme aims to:
