Hanford’s Mighty Tetrathlon!
This year’s Hanford Tetrathlon, our equivalent of Sports Day, was held on Saturday 24 May, and was a wonderful day of sporting endeavour, courage and fun!
The girls could choose to take part in three of the four activities: riding, swimming, running and pistol shooting. They participated with typical Hanford pluck, cheered on by parents, staff, dogs and….well, lots of puppies! With picnics on the lawn and ice creams before the award ceremony, this was a wonderful way to bring the whole Hanford community together ahead of Half Term and to celebrate the girls’ sporting achievements. Well done to everyone who took part.
Mrs Phillips, Head of Hanford, said “This was a wonderful day for the whole Hanford community – brilliant celebration of courage, determination and pure joy and fun!”
The Year group winners were:
- UVIth: Bella
- LVIth: Tie between Emily G and Costanza
- Vth: Tie between Bea F and Bella
- IVth: Hettie
- IIIrd: Ani
Congratulations to the winners and to every single one of our fantastic pupils who took part!
