Apprentice Gardener Sherborne Schools Group is seeking an Apprentice Gardener to join our Estates team. This role will assist with the day-to-day upkeep and maintenance of the gardens across the SSG Estate, ensuring they remain attractive, safe, and well-presented throughout the year. Working Hours: 40 hours per week – 08:00 – 16:30 - Monday to Friday. This will include one day per week off the job training, based on site and provided by KEITS. This is a Fixed-Term up to 24 months or until the qualification has been achieved, whichever is the earlier. |

Porter and Cleaner We are seeking a dedicated Porter / Cleaner to join our Services Department at Sherborne Boys. This role is essential in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation across our facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all. Key Responsibilities: • Maintain high standards of internal and external cleaning, including deep cleans. • Support the setup and takedown of school events. • Assist with the movement of furniture and equipment. • Manage waste and contribute to the overall safety and presentation of school facilities. You will be part of a motivated, flexible, and customer-focused team within the Services Department, which also oversees the organisation and smooth delivery of all external and commercial events held within the Sherborne Schools Group. What we’re looking for: • A proactive and reliable team player. • Ability to work flexibly and respond to changing priorities. • Commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality service. Rebecca de Pelet spent sixteen years at Sherborne Boys, and twelve years as Head of English.
An inspirational teacher, a passionate believer in pupils’ potential, Rebecca has helped generations of boys to find enjoyment and success in a subject that rewards articulacy and emotional intelligence.
