£2,600 Raised for School in a Bag

A huge thank you to our wonderfully generous school community for raising over £2,600 for School in a Bag – enough to send 130 fully packed schoolbags to children in Sierra Leone.

These bags are far more than pencil cases and paper. They offer access, dignity and a chance for children with very little to engage more fully in their education. The impact will be life-changing.

We were thrilled to welcome Luke Simon, CEO and founder of School in a Bag, along with volunteer Katie Pratt, who spoke movingly to pupils about the charity’s global work and the power of education in the face of adversity. Afterwards, the children paired up for a bag-packing activity, carefully filling each rucksack with essentials like pencils, books, a lunchbox, a washbag, and a little bit of hope.

Special thanks to The Friends of Sherborne Prep for their generous donation and tireless support.
