Teacher of Drama

We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Teacher of Drama to join our wonderful community from either November 2025 or January 2026.

The Drama Department consists of two teachers and a Speech and Drama tutor. It is housed in the newly refurbished Stuart Centre which includes a flexible studio performance space furbished to a very high standard, a
workshop studio, a classroom and several smaller rehearsal rooms. The main productions are performed in the Gransden Hall (SG) or the BSR (Sherborne Boys (SB)) each year with smaller and examination performances in theStuart Centre.

Drama is taught for one period a week at KS3 and then an option at both GCSE and A Level, following the Eduqas specification for both. Co-curricular Drama is an important part of the department’s work, including a joint senior school production and joint junior production (both with SB), a joint L6 play each summer and a West production each year along with other ongoing activities such as House Drama, House Dance, Tech
Club and the Scholars’ programme. Due to the full boarding nature of the school, rehearsals are always in the evenings and at weekends.

Cleaner

Our cleaning staff perform a variety of tasks associated with the maintenance of a safe, clean and hygienic environment.

Key duties will include the vacuuming, dusting, sweeping and mopping of floors, corridors and rooms. Cleaning bathrooms and toilets and ensuring that cleaning materials are safely stored.

We have the following roles available:

  • Role 1 Monday – Friday 06:00 – 12:00. This is a year-round role.
    Salary: £19,110 per annum
  • Role 2 Sunday Cleaner – 10.00am – 3.00pm. This is a term time role (33 weeks plus 2 weeks in the school holidays)
    Salary £2,559.83 per annum

Commercial Events Manager

The Sherborne Schools Group commercial team are responsible for all external events, residential lettings, hospitality and retail sales across the group.

The Business Development Manager for Sherborne Schools Group will hold overall responsibility for all commercial activity and is supported by the team who work across the school sites throughout the year, both during term time and in the holidays.

We have a great opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our commercial team. In this new and exciting role, you will support the Business Development Manager across all four school sites. You will lead on managing external commercial events (including weddings, private hire and corporate functions)

The ideal candidate will have at least two years experience in events management and a proven track record of running successful events.
